But Jimmy Kimmel took viewers inside an African-American barbershop last night to gauge reaction from average men on the street in regard to this racist A-Hole.
In a hilarious segment, these men say Sterling’s lifetime ban actually isn’t enough; discuss how he erred in his handling of his “side chick;” and wonder if one can actually attend racist rehab.
Watch now:
Perhaps the most shocking development in this video: Kimmel actually pays!
Relive a handful of the funniest sketches and moments from Jimmy Kimmel Live now:
Oprah to Buy Los Angeles Clippers?!
It’s no fun owning a pro sports franchise when you can’t even attend the games, so with the LA Clippers’ Donald Sterling being banned from the NBA for life, it’s safe to assume he’ll be selling the team soon.
Several celebrities have expressed an interest in investing in the Clippers in the likely event that Sterling is forced to sell, but there may only be one with the cash and clout to buy the team outright: Queen Oprah.
Winfrey announced yesterday that she intends to make a bid on the team if an when the Clippers hit the auction block.
Speaking with ESPN, possible co-investor David Geffen stated that Oprah “does not intend to run the team,” but simply “thinks it would be a great thing for an important black American to own the franchise.”
As one of the richest women in the world, Oprah could likely make the purchase on her own, but she’s reached out to Geffen and Oracle CEO Larry Ellison to form a billionaire power trio that will likely be able to outbid any other potential buyers.
Other celebs who have expressed an interest in buying the Clippers include Sean Combs, Floyd Mayweather, and Oscar De La Hoya.
Given her reputation for generosity, we’re guessing Blake Griffin and company are hoping Lady O will be their new boss. “You get a car to dunk over, you get a car to dunk over.…”
[Donald Sterling is a] bitch-ass redneck, white bread, chicken sh-t mother f-cker. If I was a Clipper fan, I wouldn’t be one anymore. It’s that simple. But if I was a Clipper player, a current Clipper player, you wouldn’t see me on the court anymore in that uniform. Donald sterling is the definition of racism …. He could b your judge…. Your doctor…..your teacher etc. time for #Clippers players to step up. Refuse to play till NBA moves against this racist jackass #Sterling. NBA can’t defend him. When ignorant folks want to advertise their ignorance, you don’t really have to do anything. You just let them talk… We’ve made enormous strides, but you’re going to continue to see this percolate up every so often. No one should be allowed to own a team if they have in fact engaged in this kind of racial language. It’s a shame that Donald Sterling feels that way about African-Americans. He has a team full of amazing African-American basketball players that are working to bring a championship to Clippers fans. The Clippers also have a strong minority fan base.Shaquille O’Neal: Everyone has their thoughts. When your opinions and thoughts become public knowledge, the question is, now what? Another question is: will his team shut down on him and take his remarks personally?…I think the league should take a long hard look on whether this guy should continue to be an owner or not.
