Real go Official for Ronaldo – The Saga Continues.

Real Madrid are set to table a £60million offer for Cristiano Ronaldo after avoiding FIFA action over their pursuit of the Manchester United winger.

The world governing body revealed on Monday evening that the Spanish giants would not face sanctions despite being reported by the angry Old Trafford club for their relentless public pursuit of the Portugal international.

Several reports claim the 23-year-old winger is now ready to hand in a transfer request after steadfastly refusing to pledge his future to United in the aftermath of their Champions League and Premier League successes last season.

And Real are now set to make their interest in the 42-goal forward official with an offer for the former Sporting Lisbon starlet after courting his services with several public statements of admiration over the past few weeks.

However, they are likely to receive short shrift from United who are adamant that their prize asset will not be leaving Old Trafford this summer.

The Red Devils are also likely to be unhappy that FIFA have decided to take no action over what they see has been an attempt to unsettle the player.

On Monday evening, FIFA confirmed they would be taking no action, saying: “We can confirm that we received a formal complaint from Manchester United related to the player Cristiano Ronaldo and the club Real Madrid.

“From the documentation received, no breach of contract appears to have occurred yet.

“Therefore, in accordance with the applicable practice, no kind of formal procedure has been opened by FIFA regarding this matter.”
